How to get rid of Tired Looking Eyes

“Tear troughs” are natural depressions or hollowness which run from the inner corner of the eyes to the cheeks. These depressions get worse as we age, due to quality of your skin around your eyes losing it’s elasticity, the ligament and the fat also become loose and descending downwards. The skin that was smooth and tight gets loose and sags down due to gravity.

In younger age, tear through is caused by genetic factors, the thin skin around the eyes and the insufficient fat under the eyes create a shadow, making one look tired and old.

Some of the more common causes of dark circles under the eyes include:

  • Heredity. Dark circles under the eyes can appear in childhood, and are often an inherited trait. Some children will outgrow them, but others will not.
  •  Allergies. Nasal congestion can dilate the blood vessels that drain from the area around your eyes, causing them to darken.
  •  Sleep deprivation is the most common cause, and the easiest to prevent, but …
  • Oversleeping can also cause dark eye circles.
  •  Stress
  •  As we get older, our skin becomes thinner.
  •  Iron deficiency can prevent the blood from carrying sufficient oxygen to eye tissues.

Perfect eyebrow

Knowing your face shape is the first step to creating your most beautiful look,
Like haircuts, eyebrow shapes aren’t one-size-fits-all. Your perfect brows depend on the dimensions of your face. And the right eyebrow shape can not only emphasize your eyes and make you look younger, they can even let you get away with wearing less makeup.

The Right eyebrow for your face shape.

Egg face shape(oval face):
Usually all types of eyebrow shapes match but if it’s too straight or too arched then it covers the beautiful shape of their face. Give a little arch but make sure it’s a soft one rather than a sharp one.

Arched face shape:
Make sure that you shape your eyebrows round so that your image looks more soft. Shave off the arch of your eyebrows and make is soft so that your face shape may look more soft.

Round face shape:
Make sure that you make an arch so that you can create the illusion of a more narrow face. Make sure that the end of your eyebrows and the front part of your eyebrow is a straight line. If your eyebrows are too thick then your face may look bigger than it really is so make sure that it’s not too thick.

Long face shape:
If you have straight thick eyebrows then it will make your face look a little bit shorter. If you have a high arch then your face can look longer. If you have long and sharp chin then it’s good to draw round and short eyebrows.

 How to Draw

1. Rounded brows
There should be no prominent high arch on the brows. The brows should curve slightly and gently to frame the eyes.

2. Tapered ends

Unlike the angular ends of the straight eyebrows, keep the ends of your curved brows tapered.

3. Keep the colour light

Keep the eyebrow looking soft with a lighter shade of eyebrow pencil. If you are born with naturally dark eybrows, cover the dark eyebrow hair with an eyebrow mascara.

Double Eyelid Stitching

Alluring eyes can have a positive effect on an individual as well as on those who look upon him or her, so it is no surprise that upper eyelid surgery is one of the most thought  after cosmetic surgery procedures in Malaysia.

Why consider double eyelid surgery

Mature patients: often wants correction of aging eyelids with excess skin, fat and lax eyelid muscles. This may be complicated by drooping of the upper eyelids, which is called ptosis. This may cause the eyes to appear smaller and in severe cases, vision may also be obstructed by the excess skin.

Younger patients desire “double-eyelids” to make their eyes look larger, less droopy or less puffy. With puffy eyelids, they may have difficulties applying eyeliner due to excessive fat or skin on their eyelids.

There are various “home-fix” techniques such as:

1.Double eyelid tape

Sticking double eyelid tape is a immediate way to fix a (Single eyelid, mono-eyelid) or a low crease lid to a higher crease depends on how you locate the double eyelid sticker.

But sticking double eyelid tape, the tape will be visible even if you cover
Them with an eye shadow.  From sticking on and taking them off, you are actually pulling the eyelid, causing the eyelid to droop.

2.Thick eyeliner

Having hooded eye, eyeliner can be a bit of an challenge. A lid that is covered by a crease, eyeliner is almost non-visible. For the eyeliner to be visible, eyeliner has to be drawn thicker. Throughout the day from the eyeliner Hiding the the crease Gets smudged from oil and sweat from the eyelid.

.Rubbing Eyes to create double eyelid

I am pretty sure we are familiar with this terms if you have a (double eyelid, mono-eyelid) Maybe you heard it from your friend or your parents saying, rubbing your eyes create double eyelid.

From rubbing the eyelid, it creates a fold of the lid for a few seconds, but the eyelid can over time, lose it’s elasticity and that’s a less serious problem but still not something that we want to happen.

(Such methods are however, time-consuming and temporary. With surgery, patients are looking for a solution to their desire for larger and “more attractive” eyes)

What is double eyelid suture Technique?

The suture technique results in very natural looking double eyelid creases.
Even with the eyelids closed. The extremely fine sutures provide a gentle compression of the eyelid structures to form a crease from within that is not generally visible unless the eyes are open.

(Not everyone is a suitable candidate for this procedure. Before you start the Procedure it’s important to consult with your doctor to discuss about the desired height for your crease)

What is the difference between incisional and suture technique?

Incisional Technique

  •  Suitable for people with puffy eyelid / excessive sagging eyelid
  • Long recovery time (For the full recovery is about 3~6 months).

During the healing process, the wound often form permanent visible scars or keloid when the patients close their eyes.
Incisional technique will not give permanent result because due to aging, the height of the crease will drop and the patients need to redo their eyelids again.

Suture Technique

  • This Procedure doesn’t require any cutting.
  • Effects last 5 to 8 years or more, depending on individual and surgeon skills
  • Not suitable for people with excessive sagging skin and puffy eyes
  • Fast recovery time Procedure takes about 30 minutes & Scar less

Downtime:

After the procedure, there might be slight bruise and very minor swelling (some patients don’t even have such downtime) and it will fully subside in 3 to 7 days. There is no wound at all so and the patients can freely resume to their normal activities.

For suture technique there are different types of method, for example.

1.Hata method

2.Maruo Method

wp-1477565016273.jpg

3.Bk method (single knot continues)

4.Oh method

5. Jung Method

 6. DST (Double Suture & Twisted)

7. And many others

TYPES OF CREASE

Tapered crease: Natural without makeup  There are two main crease shapes: tapered and parallel. A tapered crease is lower in the inner corner and higher in the outer corner.

Combination of tapered and Parallel crease:

Parallel crease : suitable for ladies who wears makeup regularly a  parallel crease is of equal height in the inner and outer corners. This crease shape can be suitable for Oriental patients who have deep set, relatively hollow upper eyelids and a lack of an epicanthic fold .(Insert picture of picture of eyes)

Kill the fat softly

CoolSculpting is the most effective, safest, non-surgical way to lose annoying bumps and bulges of stubborn fat.

How does CoolSculpting work?

CoolSculpting is based on the science of cryolipolysis, a term that combines “cryo” aka freezing cold with “lipolysis” aka the destruction of fat.

This cold based technology uses a non-invasive applicator that is applied to a specific area and cools the fat cells to just above freezing causing crystallization. The crystallized cells then break apart and are naturally metabolized by the body very slowly.

CoolSculpting by Zeltiq is designed to target and reduce the resistant fat bulges on the flanks, abdomen, and back. Zeltiq is very active in research and is developing applicators for the inner thighs, upper arms, and double chin.

Which nonsurgical fat reduction technologies don’t work?

Methods involving lasers, radiofrequency, or ultrasound do not give results with the same quality and consistency. They generally work by rupturing the fat cell membrane with temporary loss of its contents but since they don’t kill the cell, the fat just reaccumulates several months later. Or, they work on the little fibrous tentacles around the fat and may make the area smoother but they don’t destroy the fat cells themselves. And you might remember Lipodissolve (an injectible) was removed from the market by the FDA due to numerous reported complications.

How is the CoolSculpting treatment done?

After arriving in loose-fitting clothing such as sweats, patients are required to sign a consent form, have their Befor photographs taken, and have the body area to be treated measured. The area to be treated is marked and covered with a gel pad to protect the skin. A specially designed cooling applicator cup is applied to the desired area of fat. The applicator cup uses a gentle vacuum pressure to draw the excess skin and underlying fat between two cooling panels.

During the procedure, the applicator delivers precisely controlled cooling conditions that have been proven to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of the body. You will feel a firm pulling in the treated area and then the area will become numb. You may experience tingling, aching or cramping while the area is becoming numb. Most patients are able to read, work, listen to music, watch a movie or relax while the treatment is in progress.

Who will benefit from CoolSculpting?

Patients who do well with this procedure typically range from normal weight to about 50 pounds over their target body weight. This is difficult to quantify exactly because fat is distributed differently on everyone. If the fat is inside the abdomen, it cannot be Coolsculpted. Some of the patients who do best are people with a little more because there is more to improve. Some who are quite thin already, may not notice as much visible improvement. This is because 25% of a small amount is less. It is best forresistant fat bulges on the flanks and abdomen in patients that are in relatively good shape. The fat must be pinchable, which means the fat deposited is under the skin and not around internal organs. CoolSculpting is not intended for patients with more significant fatty deposits. For these patients, surgical techniques such as liposuction are more effective. A reputable clinic will insist on an in-person consultation to determine if you really could benefit.

Who should not do this treatment?

Patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended because this was not studied and why take any chance at all with a pregnancy? Also, the hormones that are active during pregnancy could make the treatment less effective. Also, patients who have rare cold related diseases like cryoglobulinemia or Raynaud’s should not do Coolsculpting.

Is it safe?

Zeltiq had spent $100 million or more in research and development over many years on this device. One of the lead scientists on this device was Rox Anderson, MD who is affliliated with Harvard and has been involved in lasers and skin based technology for many years. The company has records of 300,000 treatments worldwide at this writing.

How long does the procedure take?

It takes one hour per site being treated. Up to three or four sites may be treated on the same day but it’s a long treatment! There is also an approximately 15 minutes needed at the beginning and 15 minutes at the end. So for example, if you need both love handles done (2 applicators), you would need approximately two and half hours for the whole experience.

Are the results permanent?

The results are considered permanent because the treated fat cells are eliminated. As long as you maintain your weight with your normal diet and exercise, your long-term results should remain stable. Weight gain will prevent you from appreciating your full results.

Is it painful?

Unlike most other methods of fat reduction, CoolSculpting involves no needles, surgery, or downtime. Patients often spend procedure time reading, working on their laptops, or simply relaxing. You can return to normal activities immediately after the treatment.

What can I expect immediately after CoolSculpting?

  • Temporary blanching or redness. The redness may remain for a few hours after treatment. This is an expected but temporary effect.
  • Bruising, swelling and tenderness can occur in the treated area for 1-4 weeks. The area often feels sore when touched for 2-7 days. You may feel a temporary dulling of sensation in the treated area. This is normal and may last for 2-6 weeks after your procedure.

How active can I be after the treatment?

Generally, you can return to your normal daily activities including exercise immediately after, if you feel comfortable but follow your doctor’s instructions!

Side effects and what can I expect the first weeks and months after CoolSculpting?

It is common for the treated area to feel bloated and look swollen for up to 1 month. It typically resolves within 2-4 weeks.

You may also experience one or more of the following sensations:

  • Itching, tingling or numbness for 2-8 weeks
  • Tenderness to the touch, or soreness for 1-3 weeks
  • Temporary mild to moderate cramping or aching that feels like muscle spasms. A very rare person (about 1/2500 patients) will develop more painful cramping or abdominal discomfort. Call your doctor if this happens but it resolves generally. However, symptoms could be similar to other more serious problems like appendicitis, so you must call your doctor!

When will I see results and what is realistic to expect?

You will experience a gradual reduction of the fat layer, typically over two to four months’ time. Your body will continue to process the injured fat cells from your body for approximately four months after your procedure. The procedure can reduce the treated fat layer by up to 20-30%.

Fake BOTOX? What you don’t know can hurt you.

The FDA has recently sent out a warning on April 16, 2015 regarding a fake, counterfeit version of Botox circling around that eager consumers should be aware of. The FDA has deemed these counterfeit versions as “unsafe and should not be used.”

The Cost of Cutting Corners

When these unscrupulous physicians choose to save money by purchasing from unverified third-party vendors, they’re also making vicarious decisions for every single patient that may someday walk in their clinic door. They are not only risking their license, they’re simultaneously putting their patients’ health and even life in the balance. Knockoff drugs may seem like a bargain, but the ultimate cost could be devastatingly expensive.

FACTS:

Not all practitioner purchase their injectables from official sources, putting their patients at risk as a result. The only way to purchase authentic Allergan products is through an Allergan representative or one of their authorized distributors.

Black market pharmaceuticals have questionable efficacy, may contain harmful ingredients that aren’t meant for human consumption or for intravenous use, and are often mishandled and improperly stored with potentially tragic results.

Allergan does not guarantee the authenticity of any product not purchased directly from one of their reps, regardless as to whether that product appears to be a branded Allergan product. Patients who pay for discounted counterfeit products often end up unhappy and seek our expertise in correcting the issues.
